Fila
Fila - a brand with an Italian pedigree that is most visible today thanks to a product that its founders from the city of Biella had no idea about in 1911 (the birth of the brand).
In 1999, MGM took FILA inline skates under its wing and agreed on licensed skate production valid until 2032. The period is long enough for investments already made or those planned to have their business justification. MGM are no newcomers to footwear production and have focused all their experience from the previous period with the production of ski and outdoor footwear into skate production. The first 12 years of history written under the "FILA skates" brand are thus interspersed with technological innovations and even European patents.
In 2004, 100 mm wheels were introduced for the first time, and above all, the patented method of attaching the frame and boot. The result was maintaining the same distance of the boots from the surface as when using the older type of frame on 5 x 80 mm wheels. The speed of large wheels and maneuverability thanks to the low center of gravity and short frame is what racing skates should be characterized by.
From the previous lines, it is clear that today's FILA definitely has the right to respect not only in inline sports after 100 years of its existence. The number of patents and innovations is finally sufficient proof of this.
