The history of GSI Outdoors dates back to 1985, when three siblings from British Columbia traveled down the west coast to San Diego, where they laid the foundations for the company.

The company started with minimal knowledge of camping equipment, just a few pieces of blue enameled cookware. The company soon began to focus on design, manufacturing, commerce and marketing, and with that came a period of growth. GSI began producing increasing amounts of cookware and other dining equipment.

Don, Ian and Kathy Scott decided after some time to return to Spokane, Washington, where they grew up. Their goal was to bring the comforts of home to the world of outdoor cooking and dining. After all, food is a passion and food brings people together. And eating outdoors is so much fun. What's better than being somewhere outside? Being outside with friends and great food, of course.

Today, the GSI Outdoors brand is a globally recognized manufacturer of camping cookware, renowned for its quality, technical parameters and modern design.
