La Sportiva

LaSportiva was established in 1928 in the foothills of the Italian Dolomites. Originally, the company was engaged in the production of clogs and leather boots for lumberjacks. During World War II, they were engaged in the production of leather boots for the Italian army. During this period, they created a lacing system, which was later adopted by other renowned footwear manufacturers.

After the end of World War II, the company's reputation grew, and so Narcis Delladio - the company's founder - hired new employees and expanded production.

In the 1950s, the company embarked on the production of ski boots, which, however, it abandoned with the transition to plastic ski boots. They then focused mainly on the production of cross-country ski boots and mountaineering boots. In the 1980s, they started with the production of climbing shoes and subsequently added the last segment that made them famous - running shoes.

LaSportiva produces most of its production in its factory in Ziano di Fiemme, Italy.

Now LaSportiva makes shoes for probably all the outdoor activities you can imagine. LaSportiva climbing shoes are among the absolute world leaders, similarly to boots for high-altitude hiking and expedition mountaineering. The offer also includes top-notch running trail shoes, ski touring boots and functional textiles.
