Salewa
Salewa, a brand that feels at home in the Italian Dolomites and has an Italian eagle in its logo.
However, Salewa does not come from Italy, but from Germany, where it was founded on July 8, 1935 by Josef Liebhart in Munich.
During the war period, Salewa focused mainly on the production of leather bags and accessories. Their ski poles and the first backpack with a tubular construction then met with great interest.
In 1955, Salewa's management decided to show where its specialization would be heading when they supported Hermann Huber's expedition to the Andes.
In the 1980s, Salewa worked closely with big names among mountaineers to develop products, including the legendary Reinhold Messner and Kurt Albert.
Today, Salewa is perceived as a leading player in the outdoor equipment market. What will surprise you is the huge versatility and breadth of the portfolio that Salewa offers. You can get everything from hiking boots , backpacks , sleeping bags , through outdoor clothing designed for the most extreme conditions to functional underwear .
