Stiga
Stiga is a traditional Swedish brand that you can encounter on table hockey, snow sleds, table tennis equipment, but also lawn mowers and tractors. The company itself was founded as early as 1934 by Mr. Stig Hjelmquist.
The first Stiga hockey was produced in 1957. It has been more than 50 years since Stiga hockey sets have been manufactured. The first hockey set had a rectangular shape and tin figures. Over the years, many improvements have been made and today the prevailing material is durable plastic. Stiga hockey is not just a game on which three generations of boys and girls have grown up, but also a sports discipline. Since the early 1980s, international tournaments have been regularly organized around the world, culminating in the World Championships every two years. We can be pleased with the fact that Czech representatives belong to the absolute world leaders.
Currently, the production of Stiga hockey sets is owned by the Swedish company STIGA Sports AB. Distribution in the Czech and Slovak markets is provided by the company V2 hokej s.r.o.
