The company THUASNE was founded in 1847 in France, in Saint-Etienne. Originally, the factory was engaged in the production of elastic textiles.
Great development occurred after World War II when the company introduced its first line of medical compression bandages. The company's own research and development did not idle, and soon THUASNE introduced its first orthopedic aids to the market - lumbar belts. Over the next few years, the product range expanded to include a complete line of orthoses and bandages for the trunk and limbs - cervical spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, knee, ankle. The range of elastic compression products also saw a significant expansion - new bandages, stockings, tights, arm and trunk sleeves were created. Another milestone in the development was the inclusion of aftercare products in the distribution.
