Jakub Menšík isn't just a rising talent - he’s now a shining star in the sport. You might not have a forehand like his, but you can still have the very same equipment that this tennis expert used to oust Djokovic.
Jakub Menšík, the 19-year old tennis player from Prostějova, Czech Republic, is one of the greatest international talents in the sport. He began to make waves in the junior categories - like in 2021, when he made it to the finals of the Australian Open’s Junior Championships.
He's known for his strong serve, quick movement around the court, and the mental stamina which he showcases during tough matches. In 2023, he made his Grand Slam debut in the US Open’s primary competition and immediately garnered attention by winning over another highly ranked player.In 2024, he entered into the international ATP Rankings for the first time, making him one of the youngest players in the ATP’s top 100.
In March 2025, Menšík made his appearance at the Miami Open and fought his way to the final, where he denied Novak Djokovic the chance to win his 100th title on the ATP circuit and dominated the whole tournament. And here’s an interesting fact: Menšík didn’t want to enter the tournament due to an injury, but the miraculous work of the tournament's physiotherapist Alejandro allowed him to continue. The rest is history.
